The Muse Gallery & Studio is proud to present the summer group show 2017, as part of the 2018 residency program competition.

This year the shortlist includes: photographers, painters and multi-disciplinary artists, all representing the best in modern contemporary and post internet art.

Through the pending residency program The Muse, as an artist led organisation, is committed to providing a foundation from which connections and confidence can be established.

This is provided so that graduates can transition from academia to the professional world with the support of subsidised studio space, market exposure and professional development.

Successful artists will be working with professional technicians, curators and associated press over the course of their residency and begin cultivating skills for sustainable independence on the road to further representation.

All works will be curated by participating artists in partnership with gallery associates and presented to industry professionals who will select two candidates for the 2018 program.

Welcome to our YouTube Channel

Here you’ll find the very best of our: events, performances and other random happenings of which we’ve had many over the years; with unfortunately way too many lost in time, to the absence of smart phones. Such happenings as: performance artists turning up and walking around naked covering the place with clay, anarchist’s poetry readings getting rowdy, sound artists from the continent blowing eardrums, fashion shows and many more. But now, thanks to the You tube, we have a home for these gems and none shall again be lost to the ether.

So… we hope you enjoy these insights and memories of artists passing through, alongside performers that have graced us with their talents.  Pop by our channel anytime and have the chance to browse uploads, there’ll be new stuff about once a month probably.

After the show we recommend eating locally with a special event menu at 'Goode & Wright Bistro' three doors down, so why not carry on your evening with a course or two and a glass for under twenty pounds

(The food is excellent)
